2015 Citizen’s Police Academy
Register Now for Abington Police Department’s
2015 Citizen’s Police Academy
Citizens who would like the opportunity for a special look inside the Abington Police Department and the chance to become familiar with how officers perform their duties are invited to register for the Abington Police Department’s 2015 Citizen’s Police Academy.
Citizens will learn about such topics as SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics), accident investigation, police K-9, use of force, crime scene processing, and many other interesting police functions. Police officers from Abington and other agencies will instruct the classes.
This program will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for nine weeks beginning March 3rd and running through April 28th. Residents of Abington and surrounding communities are eligible to attend. Participants will have a graduation ceremony on the final night where they will receive certificates of completion. There is no charge to participate!
