TEXTING LAW
Beginning March 8, 2012 the new Texting Law takes effect. A violation occurs when a driver sends, reads, or writes a text based communication while the vehicle is in motion.
A text based communication is defined as text message, instant message, or electronic mail or other Communication composed or received on an interactive wireless device.
The violation is a PRIMARY OFFENSE and incurs a fine of $ 50.00 plus court costs.
