Traffic Safety Reminder About Portable Basketball Nets

 

Residents are reminded that under Abington Township Code 143-13 it is unlawful to place portable basketball nets within the boundaries of any public place. This includes the public right-of-way. Portable basketball nets pose a hazard to fire apparatus and the operation of refuse trucks. They also prohibit parking. Violators can be fined per day for violation of the ordinance. Please keep your neighborhood safe and be courteous to your neighbors by removing any basketball nets from the public right-of-way.
