Abington Township Police Department Entry Level Police Officer Exam

Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, the entry-level police officer examination has been postponed. This also includes all other scheduled phases of the testing process.

Today at 2 PM Governor Tom Wolf held a press conference regarding the Coronavirus. During this, he stated that more than half of the COVID-19 cases in the state are in Montgomery County, declaring Montgomery County as the “epicenter of the epidemic.” As of tomorrow, March 13, 2020, Governor Wolf has ordered the closure of all schools, community centers, gyms and entertainment venues within Montgomery County. Therefore, the entry-level police officer exam that was scheduled to be held this Saturday, March 13, 2020, at the Abington Junior High School, will be postponed until further notice.

Once we establish new dates for the testing process, we will contact candidates.

Candidates wishing to withdraw from this current testing cycle and would like a refund, please contact me via e-mail at mgargan@abingtonpa.gov. A refund will be processed as soon as possible.
