Armed Robbery

 Shortly after 7:00 AM on Sunday, June 28, 2015 a man walked into the CVS Pharmacy which is located at 2622 Jenkintown Road in the North Hills Section of Abington Township.  The man, who was on his cell phone at the time, then inquired at the register about employment and asked to see the manager.  The employee summoned the manager who came down to the register from the adjacent office.  When she did a second man quickly entered the store and displayed a handgun.  Both employees were escorted to the office at gun point by the two men and forced to open the safe.  The suspects took the manager’s pocketbook and dumped all the contents out and had her put the contents of the safe into the pocketbook.  They took both employee’s mobile phones and were last seen escaping on foot along Edge Hill Road towards Mt. Carmel Avenue.  They escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash, the pocketbook and the two mobile phones.  There were no customers in the store at the time and there were no injuries.  Anyone with information about this case should contact Abington Police Detective Division at 267-536-1100 and select #4 or call 9-1-1 in an emergency.

5’ 9” 180 lbs stocky build, black hat, gray colored sweatshirt, ARMED WITH A HANDGUN
