Armed Robbery – 7-11 Store, 2869 Limekiln Pike, North Hills
December 27, 2016
Case 16-052312
At approximately 4:03 AM on December 25, 2016, the suspect pictured below entered the 7-11 Store and implied that he was carrying a weapon that was wrapped in a white cloth he carried in his hand. The suspect was wearing a black scarf and white cap which concealed his face and only his eyes could be seen. The suspect is described as being approximately 6’ 1” tall and is believed to be a black male. The store was empty except for the lone clerk (victim) who was working. The suspect escorted the victim behind the counter and kept telling the victim “open the register!” The suspect took a small amount of cash and a pack of Newport Cigarettes before fleeing on foot on Limekiln Pike. The suspect may have entered the SEPTA Tracks in the area of the U-Haul Store and walked towards Oreland. No weapon was actually seen and there were no injuries.
A female customer entered the store after the robbery occurred and after being told what occurred she assisted the clerk in calling police because the clerk had a language barrier. This female left before police arrived and Abington Police would like to talk to her to see if she saw the suspect. Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to contact APD at 267-536-1100 – Option #4. In an emergency always dial 9-1-1.
