ARON GREMORE OF AMBLER ARRESTED FOR POSSESSING AND DISTRIBUTING SEXUALLY EXPLICIT IMAGES OF CHILDREN

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (July 28, 2017) — Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin R. Steele, Abington Township Police Chief John Livingood and the Pennsylvania Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force announce the arrest of Aron Gremore, 38, of Ambler, for multiple felony charges of Dissemination of Child Pornography, Sexual Abuse of Children/Child Pornography and Criminal Use of a Communication Facility.

On June 8, 2017, Abington Township Det. Rick Beaghley was conducting an undercover, electronic communications operation on the Internet to identify those possessing and sharing child pornography using the BitTorrent network. The investigation located a computer that was sharing files of child pornography. When Det. Beaghley directly connected to this computer, he electronically received 66 sexually explicit video files. Upon review, the files were determined to depict children under the age of 18 engaged in sexual acts and/or sexually explicit poses. The investigation traced the computer to the defendant’s home. Detectives executed a search warrant on Gemore’s home and seized his computer. Forensic examination of the computer found sexually explicit images of child pornography.

Gremore was arrested on July 27, 2017 and arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Patricia A. Zaffarano, who set bail at $250,000. He was unable to make bail and was remanded to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m., Aug. 8, 2017 before Judge Zaffarano. The case will be prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Matthew Brittenberg.
