Bank Robbery

At approximately 11:35 AM on Saturday February 16, 2013 a man walked in to the PNC Bank located at 123 Old York Road in the Jenkintown section of Abington Township and handed a teller a note indicating that he had a gun and “to give him the money!” The man handed the teller a blue bag in which the teller put an undisclosed amount of money and the suspect fled on foot. He was last seen walking quickly or jogging east on Lenox Road from Old York towards Meetinghouse Road. The suspect is described as a brown skinned male, approximately 6’ tall with a husky build and wearing a mustard colored, Carhartt type coat and a burgundy colored Phillies ball cap. No gun was displayed and there were no injuries.

Anyone who sees this suspect should immediately call 9-1-1. Anyone with information about this case should call Abington Police at 267-536-1100 and ask for Detectives (selection #4).
