Bank Robbery & Arrest

At approximately 3:35 pm on August 24, 2017, a lone male subject wearing a white religious type robe, robbed the TD Bank located at 710 Old York Road in the Jenkintown Section of Abington Township. The male approached a teller and handed her a note that read: “give me your money!” The teller handed the man an undisclosed amount of US Currency and the male fled the bank on foot. It was determined that the suspect got into a vehicle which was parked nearby and headed south on Old York Road. With the assistance of Cheltenham Township PD, the vehicle was located and stopped at Old York Road and Church Road in Cheltenham Township. The suspect, 54 year old Anthony V. PANGELINAN of Provident Road in Philadelphia was taken into custody without incident. PANGELINAN is currently in custody at APD awaiting arraignment. The investigation is continuing and will be updated as additional information becomes available.
