Bank Robbery Arrest – TD Bank – 1428 Old York Road, Abington

On January 20th, 2017 at 5:20 PM, the suspect pictured below walked into the TD Bank located at
1428 Old York Road Abington Township and presented a teller with a demand note which stated
that it was an “armed robbery”. The suspect then handed the teller a blue and white nylon
drawstring backpack and stated “put the money in there”. The teller placed an undisclosed amount
of money in the bag and handed it back to the suspect. The suspect then fled the scene on foot headed
south on Old York Road towards Keith Road. No weapon was actually displayed and there were no
injuries.
On January 25th, 2017 at approximately 11:00 AM, Abington Police and Warminster Police arrested
without incident 43 year old Mario CALDERON on Fir Street in Warminster. CALDERON has no
fixed address but is from Mexico and has been deported twice. CALDERON is being charged with
robbery and related offenses and is being held at Abington PD pending his arraignment. Anyone
