Citizens Police Academy 2025 Application

Citizens who would like the opportunity for a special look inside the Abington Police Department and the chance to become familiar with how officers perform their duties are invited to register for the 2025 Citizen’s Police Academy.

Participants will learn about such topics as SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics), accident investigation, police K-9, use of force, crime scene processing, and many other interesting police functions.  Police officers from Abington and other agencies will instruct the classes.

This program will be held on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00 p.m. for nine weeks beginning March 5th and running through April 23rd.  Residents of Abington and surrounding communities are eligible to attend.  Participants will have a graduation ceremony on the final night where they will receive a certificate of completion. There is no charge to participate!
