Death Investigation

On September 30, 2017, at 10:03 AM, Abington Police responded to a report of a body floating in the Pennypack Creek, inside Lorimer Park near the park’s main entrance. The deceased male was identified as a 57 year old from Willow Grove. Early indications are that the male accidentally fell from a 50 foot rock cliff, which overlooks the creek. The incident is being investigated by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office and the Abington Police Detective Division.
