Gunshots Crestmont Park

Case # 20-021650

On July 19, 2020 at 10:11 pm the Abington Police Department responded to the area of Crestmont Park in the Willow Grove section of Abington Township for a report of gunshots.  Upon arriving, officers located several spent shell casings in the area indicating that a firearm had been discharged.  Investigation revealed that prior to police arrival a large group of people had been engaged in a physical altercation.  Shortly after the physical altercation ended, one of the participants fired several shots at another.  There were no injuries reported.  This incident remains under investigation by the Abington Township Police Detective Division.  Anyone with information is urged to contact Det.
