Lane Closures Scheduled Next Week for Bridge Inspections in Montgomery County
King of Prussia, PA – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that lane closures are scheduled next week on Route 611 (Old York Road) in Montgomery County, for bridge inspections.
The work schedule is:
- Thursday, June 25 and Friday, June 26, the right lane will be closed on northbound Route 611 (Old York Road) between London Road and Hamilton Road in Abington Township from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM; and
- Thursday, June 25 and Friday, June 26, the right lane will be closed on southbound Route 611 (Old York Road) between Hamilton Road and Jericho Road in Abington Township from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Motorists are advised to allow more time for travel during the bridge inspections because slowdowns will occur.
The inspections, which are weather dependent, are part of PennDOT’s program to inspect state bridges at least once every two years. The inspections ensure the safety and condition of the bridges.
