Officer Raymond Townsend Appointed New School Resource Officer – Abington Senior High School

Congratulations Officer Raymond Townsend on your appointment to the position of School Resource Officer at the Abington Senior High School. Ray is a seventeen-year veteran of the Abington Township Police Department. After graduating from the Academy in 2003, Ray was assigned to our Patrol Division and served as a D.A.R.E. Officer, a Field Training Officer, a SWAT Team Operator, President of the Abington Township Police Association, and as a member of our Honor Guard Unit. Over the last two years, Officer Townsend was assigned to our Community Policing Division.  Ray is a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps where he served honorably for nine years.
