Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle

At approximately 3:47 pm on Saturday, October 10, 2020, a sixty-four-year-old female from Abington Township was struck by a car as she was riding a bicycle at the intersection of Old York Road and Wheatsheaf Lane in Abington.  Preliminary investigation indicates that a vehicle traveling North on Old York Road may have proceeded through a steady red traffic signal before losing control and striking the female, who was stationary at the time.  The female was transported to Abington Jefferson Health Hospital where she is listed in critical condition.   The operators of all vehicles involved are cooperating with the investigation.

CRIMINAL CHARGES, AND ANY DISCUSSION THEREFORE, ARE MERELY ALLEGATIONS AND ALL DEFENDANTS ARE PRESUMED INNOCENT UNTIL AND UNLESS PROVEN GUILTY.
