Traffic Safety Blitz

The Sept. 2014 Traffic Safety Blitz sponsored by the Abington Township Police Department and Commissioners of Abington Township has ended as of Oct. 31, 2014. We would like to thank all of the residents who participated by placing the lawn signs in their yard.

 Now that the blitz has ended, per the Abington Township Code, all lawn signs should be removed. Please feel free to store them and put them back up during the next blitz which will be held the month of June 2015.

 Studies have shown that leaving the signs up constantly reduce their effectiveness as they become part of the landscape.  We feel that they are most effective by raising awareness when they look “fresh” and catch the eye of the motorist.
